Parental Writes #19 – Home Slice

It’s been another one of those months…

Suzanne and Duncan are back at school, Duncan is on a soccer team that practices twice a week and plays games on the weekends, I’m directing a show so I’m at rehearsals 5 nights a week – plus my day job….

In other words – typical.

So it was a nice little treat last weekend to spend an evening at home. Suzanne just started playing the piano and Duncan and I would sing along or he would play “Guess the Composer”, a game we played when he was about 3. Grieg is one of his favorites (Hall of the Mountain King).

Debussy is my fave (Claire de Lune, among others)

That was about an hour or so. Then it was time for Indoor Bocce! One of Duncan’s Xmas presents last year. Bean bags, of course. A little while later, our pizza showed up!!

Well, pizza for Suzanne and I. Duncan still does not like it so much (See post #3). So he had an awesome hoagie from the same place.

Happy, happy, happy! I’m thinking we need to do more nights like that. Ahhhhhhhh….
