This was the weekend of Duncan’s annual leaf jumping party. What that means is we’ve finally finished raking up our backyard and invited friends over last minute for beers and chili while the kids go nuts in the leaf pile.
We have this behemoth in our yard.
Plus a couple of apple trees (which hadn’t dropped leaves at the time of our shenanigans) and another big maple in our neighbor’s yard.
This is what the yard looks like before the raking begins.
And this is the leaf pile pre-jumping.
Of course, Duncan and I had to test it out…
Yep – works great!
So we re-fluffed the pile in time for the jumpers. Here’s one.
And now, a moment to relax before I have to haul them to the compost site…
