Parental Writes #42 – The Family That Plays Together…

We are being pretty darn literal with that statement this summer! We will be spending 6 weeks rehearsing and performing “Oliver” at the Bluff City Theater in Hannibal, MO in June & July. Yep – more Oliver. This will be the third time Duncan has done the show. Piece of cake for him, right?

(He doesn’t like cake very much)

This time, however, he will be playing Oliver. He’s pretty excited about that! I will be in it as well as Mr. Bumble, the pompous beadle in charge of the orphanage, among other parts. Suzanne will be the Music Director for the show and playing keyboard so she’ll have her hands full!

How many chances will we get to all be involved in the same show?!?

We’ve never been to that part of the country before so we’re excited to explore the area once the show is up and running. Lots of Mark Twain history!

They’re even letting us bring the cat, which is pretty awesome. We’ll see how she does on the car ride down there.
