Anna Clendening was diagnosed with anxiety and depression when she was fourteen years old. She was overwhelmed by panic attacks throughout her life, and thoughts of suicide would creep in every now and then, ultimately crippling her to the point where she was bedridden for a while. Her parents were distraught and didn’t know how to help her.
But Anna and her family didn’t give up, and she soon found solace in music. Using music as a vehicle, Anna drove her way out of the abyss and into the national spotlight on “America’s Got Talent”. Her performance in the video below symbolizes all the emotional turmoil she overcame in her life and the salvation she found through song. It’s a beautiful performance that’s well worth the watch.
